We all know Rick Ness from the Discovery Channel reality TV show Gold Rush. Rick joined the star miner Parker Schnabel’s team in the third season of the show in 2012. He quickly came into the limelight, thanks to his resilience at the job despite having no mining experience. It was his hard work, determination, and perseverance that finally drove him to start his own mining firm in Season 9 of the show.
Given his substantial fan following, Rick’s personal life has always been of intrigue. From people expressing their curiosity about his ex-wife to tabloids speculating his relationship with co-star Karla Ann Charlton, there has been a lot of gossips.
Rick was quick to squash the rumors about having a romantic relationship with Karla. In fact, very soon, he publicly announced his relationship with his girlfriend Leese Marie.
Who is Rick Ness’ Girlfriend?
Where and how Rick met his girlfriend Leese Marie is not known. According to her Instagram bio, she’s a mom to a boy and a Scorpion. Her Instagram handle is leese_m_arie but her account is private. Want to know more about who is Rick Ness’ girlfriend? Here’s everything we know about her:
Leese Marie is a Wisconsin girl
Rick revealed in one of his Facebook posts that his girlfriend was born and raised in Wisconsin. Leese also has it up in her Instagram bio that no matter where she goes, she is a Wisco girl at heart.
She is an outdoorsy adventurer
While gushing over her girlfriend Leese Marie in a Facebook post, Rick mentioned that she loves the outdoors. He said that while she loves getting dolled up, she also enjoys being outdoors and doing everything that Midwesterners are famous for. Hiking, camping, mudding, you name it.
We’re assuming that her adventurer personality might also be a reason why they clicked and fell in love. She will have no problem adapting to Rick’s lifestyle. In fact, she has already traveled with him to The Yukon for Season 12.
She suffers from an autoimmune disease
Rick Ness’ girlfriend sadly has an autoimmune disease. Rick revealed this on Facebook after receiving a slew of negative comments about his lady love. Leese suffers from an autoimmune disease Ulcerative Colitis which makes it impossible for her to gain weight.
Due to her disease, she has a restrictive diet and high metabolism. Even though she eats a healthy amount, gaining weight has always been difficult for her. Despite her disease, she has an upbeat and positive outlook on life which Rick absolutely loves.
She is unaffected by the trolls
The internet was not kind to Rick Ness’ girlfriend Leese Marie. After he posted pictures with her on his Facebook page, many people started trolling the couple and left harsh comments about her. Some called her anorexic while some accused her of having plastic surgeries (in this age, who doesn’t have plastic surgeries?).
Rick was not hesitant to immediately come to his girlfriend’s defense. He explained her disease and condemned the haters. He also mentioned that unlike him, his girlfriend doesn’t care about the trolls and remains unaffected.
In the sea of people who support you, there are always some bad fish who have nothing better to do with their time. We wish the couple all the best and can’t wait for the latest episodes of Gold Rush.

About this show:
Season 12 released in September 2021, and season 13 is yet to be approved / renewed.
Once gold fever strikes, it's impossible to give it up. This season of GOLD RUSH marks a decade of digging with all-new claims, crews and challenges. Miners Parker Schnabel, Tony Beets and Rick Ness are back and putting everything on the line in pursuit of the American dream. Discovery's #1-rated show GOLD RUSH returns for its 10th season on Friday, October 11 at 9 PM ET/PT.
The year starts with a major crisis in the Klondike. The water permits have failed to come through. And it happens at the worst time. The price of gold is spiking, sparking a new rush of prospectors to the area. Each miner is forced to take massive gambles to strike it rich as they hunt for gold on new grounds.
Last year, Rick Ness mined over a million dollars-worth of gold on a claim of his own. This season, seeing the trouble in the Klondike, he's decided to up his game and move his entire operation to the mountains above the historic mining town of Keno City in the Yukon. At the turn of the century, Keno attracted miners for its famed golden nuggets. Now Rick is on a quest to bank a pile of monster nuggets of his own. It's a treasure hunt where the stakes couldn't be any higher. If he hits the right pocket, Rick could have a multimillion-dollar payday. If he fails, it could bankrupt him.
After years of hard work, 25-year-old Parker Schnabel has achieved a lifetime dream by owning his own claim. Parker shelled out a half million dollars for a perfect spot with one exception - due to the water permitting issues, he must mine every ounce of gold in just one season. The new claim is massive, measuring well over twice the size of what Parker mined last season and would normally take three years to mine. Up against the clock, Parker's dream rides on his ability to get on the gold from the start and lead his team who think he's in over his head.
Meanwhile, legendary miner Tony Beets has an early jump on the new season. But Tony's luck doesn't last very long when he's forced to shut down his Indian River operation after failing to get a permit. Confronted by this crisis, Tony looks to his three kids to save the family business from financial ruin. Each of the kids, Kevin, Monica and Mike, go out to hunt for gold and new ground to mine. Family bonds are put to the ultimate test as the pressure builds to save the Beets mining empire.
This season of GOLD RUSH is unlike any other before as the three gold miners and their crews battle the odds and the elements in the hope of finding millions in gold. It's a crisis in the inhospitable wilderness of the Klondike. But one thing is certain. Once gold fever strikes, these crews will never give up.
