Vinland Saga Season 2 is happening and the fans are beyond excited. Vinland Saga is an anime TV adaptation of a manga series of the same name. The first season was released by Wit Studio and premiered on NHK General TV and Amazon Prime Video in July 2019. This historical adventure anime series immediately captured millions of hearts with fans raving about the enthralling story and gripping characters.
Director Shuhei Yabuta confirmed Vinland Saga Season 2 in a tweet
Given its popularity, it’s no surprise that Wit Studio has announced Vinland Saga Season 2. The director of the anime Shuhei Yabuta also confirmed on his Twitter account that Vinland Saga is returning for a second season. He also revealed that the same team as the first season will be working on Vinland Season 2 as well.

The manga author Makoto Yukimura also took to Twitter to give the fans this amazing news.
The second season of the anime Vinland Saga is in production. I am very happy to be able to convey the news that the fans expected. I am also looking forward to the second season. Let’s wait for the follow-up news together.

Vinland Saga Season 2 is likely to get a similar number of episodes as the first season
He also hinted in another tweet that Vinland Saga Season 2 is also likely to get a similar number of episodes as its first season. Yabuta did an incredible job at doing justice to the first installment with 24 episodes and pacing the story in a way that matched the depth of the manga. We can definitely expect a similar experience with the second season.
Season 2 plays a very important role in Vinland Saga. So it is expected that enough number of episodes can be secured to depict emotions of characters carefuly.

What will happen in Vinland Saga Season 2
The first season ended with our favorite characters in crossroads. Before Thorfinn could take revenge for his father’s death, Askeladd gets himself killed while securing the throne for Canute. Now that the man he wanted revenge against for so long is dead, Thorfinn feels like he has lost his life’s purpose and after not so long, he finds himself in an unknown location.
If the anime stays true to the manga, we will see the story of the characters further unfold. Canute gets banished and Thorfinn is sold as a slave. Just when he is falling deeper into despair, he meets another slave named Einar who changes his life for the better. Secrets are revealed, the fire of revenge is re-ignited, and a whole new perspective arises. We’ll leave the rest for you to find out when the second season comes out.

Vinland Saga Season 2 is officially announced and the fans are ecstatic. After a painfully long wait of 1.5 years, the director of the anime TV series Shuhei Yabuta confirmed in a tweet that Vinland Saga Season 2 will be happening. The author of the manga also took to Twitter to make the announcement.
The first installment had the fans raving about the anime and hopefully, Vinland Saga Season 2 won't be any different. While the first season focused on the backstory and offered a flashback of the characters' childhoods, season second is expected to be the real deal. Incredibly enthralling and delightfully gripping. The official release date of Vinland Saga Season 2 hasn't been announced yet but it might be coming out soon since a trailer is already out.
Will Thorfinn be finally getting long-awaited revenge for his father? We'll have to wait a little more to find out.

Young Thorfinn grew up listening to the stories of old sailors that had traveled the ocean and reached the place of legend, Vinland. It's said to be warm and fertile, a place where there would be no need for fighting—not at all like the frozen village in Iceland where he was born, and certainly not like his current life as a mercenary. War is his home now. Though his father once told him, "You have no enemies, nobody does. There is nobody who it's okay to hurt," as he grew, Thorfinn knew that nothing was further from the truth.
The war between England and the Danes grows worse with each passing year. Death has become commonplace, and the Viking mercenaries are loving every moment of it. Allying with either side will cause a massive swing in the balance of power, and the Vikings are happy to make names for themselves and take any spoils they earn along the way. Among the chaos, Thorfinn must take his revenge and kill Askeladd, the man who murdered his father. The only paradise for the Vikings, it seems, is the era of war and death that rages on.
