1. The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 is Still Underway on History Channel
The Lagina brothers have been at it since 2014 when the first season of the show came out. They haven’t completely uncovered the secrets of Oak Island yet but the audience still can’t have enough of the show.
The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 had its 13th episode aired on February 1, 2022. Considering how the previous seasons had about 23 episodes on average, it’s safe to assume that Season 9 will also have 20+ episodes. The brothers are geared up for their biggest drilling project in the swamp that can lead to the discovery of an old ship believed to be buried there.
Now, you may think that the audience will be tired of this fruitless pursuit but the reality is quite the opposite. The show’s fans are still hopeful and cheering the team on.
2. The Curse of Oak Island Season 10 Hasn’t Been Announced Yet
The Curse of Oak Island Season 10 hasn’t been announced yet. Based on the assumption that Season 9 will have 20+ episodes, it will end in April or May 2020. So, there is still a lot of time in the official announcement of The Curse of Oak Island Season 10.
Even if the renewal hasn’t been yet, it is very likely that The Curse of Oak Island Season 10 will be happening. Because that’s how popular and incredibly entertaining the show really is.
3. A Short-lived Spin-off “Curse of Civil War Gold” Ended in 2019
If you didn’t already know, the show’s spin-off “Curse of Civil War Gold“ came out in 2018 offering the fans a different mystery. This spin-off is focused on lost Confederate gold, the stories of which have echoed for decades.
This time, Marty Lagina joined forces with a Michigan treasure hunter, Kevin Dykstra. They both set out to find the Civil War Gold estimated to be around $140 million. From connections to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln to a boxcar at the bottom of Lake Michigan, a lot of exciting stuff happens in the spin-off.
4. The Brand is Going Strong with Spin-off “Beyond Oak Island”
While “Curse of Civil War Gold“ was short-lived, a new spin-off “Beyond Oak Island” that came out in 2020 is still going strong. The second season of Beyond Oak Island started airing on History Channel in January 2022 with 4 of its episodes out.
The best part about this spin-off is that instead of investigating one mystery, it focuses on multiple treasure quests around the globe including those related to Blackbeard pirate and Aztec gold. Here’s a little sneak peek for you.

Every season it seems that the brothers are at the cusp of unmasking the mystery that has puzzled people for ages. It builds up, gets us glued to the edge of our seats, we get too close, and then, nothing remarkable happens. And yet, we watch every new season with the same enthusiasm.
That’s why we believe that The Curse of Oak Island Season 10 will be happening. The show is not only incredibly popular but it’s also immensely educating. Whether or not the mysteries are resolved, history buffs keep learning new stuff.

The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 premiered on November 2nd, 2021 with 13 episodes released since. If this season is anything like the previous seasons, it will have over 20 episodes. If so, season 9 will probably end in May 2022.
While it's too early to assume anything, we're hopeful about The Curse of Oak Island Season 10. The reason is the wild popularity of the show. Despite the Lagina brothers not quite uncovering what they set out to do on Oak Island, people still stay glued to their screen for every new episode. Even if they don't get the satisfaction of getting that big mystery resolved, they still get to learn a lot of new stuff and the history of the place.
Another testament to its popularity is two spin-offs of the shows. The first one "Curse of Civil War Gold" spanned two seasons and finished in July 2019. The second spin-off show "Beyond Oak Island" premiered in November 2020. Its second season started in January 2022 and is still being aired. Hopefully, this one will stay with us longer in comparison to the first spin-off. Since it focuses on multiple treasure quests around the globe, there is a lot of ground to cover.

Rick and Marty Lagina work to fulfill a life-long dream as they embark on the most exciting chapter ever of the now 220-year-old Oak Island mystery. After making major discoveries in borehole 10-X and the infamous Money Pit last year, the brothers and their partners will use today’s most advanced technology, as well as heavy digging and drilling equipment to go deep inside the island. They welcome new researchers and special guests, forge new alliances, and explore new, intriguing theories. In the Money Pit area, itself, they will conduct deep ground penetrating radar to look for the flood tunnel and using cutting edge survey tech and heavy digging machines, they will excavate early 19th century searcher shafts to help triangulate their way back to the location of the original Money Pit. This will lead to the biggest and most extensive digs that Rick, Marty, Craig Tester and the team have ever conducted in an effort to once and for all locate the fabled “Chappell Vault.”
