Series Information:
We know you love the endearing animated sci-fi series but Star vs. the Forces of Evil Season 5 is cancelled. Premiered back in 2015, the show has had four progressive installments but Disney XD has now cancelled the critically praised show.
The show was created by Disney XD’s first female filmmaker Daron Nefcy and consistently received tremendous response from the public. But that also meant that the star filmmaker will get busier. Nefcy is now also working on a Nickelodeon project the details of which are still unclear. We can only assume that this big new project has left little time to focus on Star vs. the Forces of Evil Season 5.
Disney also doesn’t like to run its popular shows for too long. After they have a certain number of episodes, they air reruns of the show on a regular basis. Other massively popular shows like Jessie, Raven’s Home, Wizards of Waverly Place, Kim Possible, and Phineas and Ferb also have no more than four seasons. So, it’s possible that Star vs. the Forces of Evil Season 5 was also subjected to this four-season rule.
Partitions to renew the show for a fifth installment were also filed by the fans. But it’s time to accept that we will never get to see how the romance between Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz blossomed.
About the show: The Annie Award-nominated “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” follows a fiercely awesome teen princess from another dimension, Star Butterfly (voiced by Eden Sher), as she navigates high school, embarks on dimension-hopping adventures across the multiverse, and battles arch-nemesis Ludo (voiced by Alan Tudyk) and his monstrous forces of evil alongside best friend Marco Diaz (voiced by Adam McArthur).
