There is no official announcement from Netflix yet, but we believe there are high changes that Secret City season 3 will be cancelled. At the end of the second season, Harriet tries everything to find a missing piece of evidence that may prevent a war, and receives a disturbing message. But will there be a season 3?
We estimate that nearly 3 million viewers watched the first two seasons. However, the series received only "ok" ratings with a TVscorecards rating of 76%, and the series seemed to lose momentum in viewership in the last episodes. In addition, season has been been airing for nearly two years without any renewal news, and it is unlikely that the pandemic alone accounted for this delay. This is why we believe that there is a risk risk that the show will get cancelled, if the news ever officially comes out.
However, the first season aired in 2016, and fans had to wait three more years before being able to watch season 2. So it is possible that Secret City will get picked up for season 3 at a later point in time. This unusual delay is now followed by another period of "limbo" where no official announcement has been made for season 3.

The tension between America and China is rising and more and more high-level crimes seem connected. The secret city of conspiracies has been playing with innocent people’s lives for a long time, so they won’t allow her to expose the truth without a cost.

I personally think that the Secret City series is riverting to watch and you instantly get hooked on this series. If you know Caberra at all then you would be aware that this sort of thing is everyday occurrence.
