Status: Likely Renewed for Season 3
Original Run: August 2, 2018 –
Current Seasons: 3
Network(s): Smithsonian
Genre: Veterinary
Series Information:
We have not officially received a season 3 announcement, but the official Facebook group for the TV show mentioned that they would get back to filming season 3 when possible. The series ended up with season 2 due to COVID issues in Indonesia.
The BOS Foundation also disclosed that they were able to start resuming "next steps" for some of the Orangutan Jungle School students earlier this year (2021). However, as of November 2021, we are still waiting for an official confirmation and timeline. Considering that the series has now been on hold for about 2 years, unfortunately this also means there is a chance that the show will eventually get cancelled.
Due to a strong following and very high ratings (9.4/10 on IMDB), we are however still hopeful that the series will resume with a new plot after the pandemic.
We will update this page when an official announcement and date have been made, but there is no reason to believe that the producer is not planning for season 3.
Featuring heartwarming stories, this show follows the largest animal rescue center for orangutans in the world and everything its caring staff does for orphaned orangutans. These apes were raised to go against their normally independent nature, so the staff now helps the young population of orangutans adjust and at some point return to living independently in the jungle.
Im loving watching these Cheeky little babies I have watched Season 1 &2 twice and would love to see a season 3. Would love to see how Dilla and Deliah go after such a horrible start. Some of the antics they get up to is funny
Do you know if this show has been cancelled. I will be very upset if it is.
No it’s coming out season three.there is a trailer someone said on season three, but I haven’t found it . If I do I’ll Facebook it. I know I can’t get enough of watching them.
Thank you for your comment. Upon further research, we have not found an official announcement. However, we find find several instances of the TV production company mentioning a season 3 so there is every reason to believe that season 3 is in the works. We will update when we find out a date for release.
I will have a no bananas for Benie temper tantrum if this show is canceled
Like really, the producers will end up blocking me 😥
Omg! I hope so! I love this show so much. I’m rewatching for a second time. It’s such a good stress reliever.
I agree!! Great show! Cant wait for season 3
I would be upset too!
Unfortunately motherhood at this time was too difficult for Dilla so they had to be separated. It’s a shame to see that happen.
I love this show. I have watched all the re-runs and can’t wait until the show resumes again
I really enjoy this show. My grandchildren come over and watch it with me. They are learning and sit threw episodes and ask me when the next episode is on. Then they ask me questions and i tell them they will have to watch some more.
Is there anything I can do to support season three of Orangutan Jungle School???
Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, Please, please, please, please, do another season!!!!!
YES YES YES!!! I AGREE; WE NEED SEASON 3!! I LOVE THESE BABIES SO VERY MUCH! I CAN’T EXPLAIN THE DEEP LEVEL OF LOVE AND CONCERN I HAVE FOR THESE PRECIOUS “PEOPLE OF THE FOREST”!!!
PLEASE PLEASE FOR SEASON 3!!!
Same!!
I’ve been trying to comment on different forums to show my support.
The narrator is great too!
My husband and I absolutely love Orangutan jungle school! We get so many laughs from their
antics and unique personalities.
Please keep renewing for new seasons!!!
monkey!
I love!! this show and it’s so heartwarming. Especially now in COVID, watching these gentle and silly creatures. Please continue to make this series!!! LOVE IT
Please don’t cancel this show. My husband and I are so in love with these beautiful creatures of God. They’re so funny, intelligent, and very loving to their caregiver. How can you not love these wonderful Orangutans.❤❤❤
Yes, there needs to be a Season 3, 4, 5 — and so on! Best show ever. I need to know what happens to Dilla and Delilah and Kesi and all of them! Don’t forget to check products and boycott palm oil, fellow orangutan lovers. Has anyone else adopted anyone from the show?
Yes we have. They were so thankful for our donation. Please start production for season 3 as soon and safely as you can. We miss benni, alba, especially Valintino and clarice. If need anything leave me an email and I’ll do what I can…love the people and all the orangutans….miss you all
Absolutely love this show.
Addicted and I love it.
Every minute is a delight.
We need more and more. I hope everyone falls in love with this show.
We need the people of the world to help fund ‘homelands’ for orangutans.
Having grown-up orangutans necessarily confined to cages while the staff searches for suitable safe release sites is really unfortunate.
Absolutely bring it back , I get so much joy from watching these sweet orangutans. They are just the funniest , This organization deserve an award for what they do.
You can’t leave it at Dilla having complications having her baby. This show is so interesting. It’s strange how human-like they are. The baby sitters are so patient and loving. This is the type of program that kids should also watch so they can learn real life of an animal. Take some of those nit wit shows off of people acting all crazy with alligators,if you watched that once it’s enough. PLEASE KEEP FILMING
This show is so beautifully filmed, scripted, and narrated. If any show could teach compassion and empathy for animals, this would be it. Animals feel. Animals think. That this show is produced and watched is is a step forward for humanity and for our precious planet.
Can’t get enough of OJS – I’ve watched seasons 1&2 twice! This is a fantastic production, providing not only entertainment but a valuable education about the efforts to return these wonderful creatures to the forest! I love the coverage of the babysitters, vet staff, teknisi, etc. & the challenges they encounter in caring for the orangutans. What’s so incredible is their knowledge of the orangutan’s developmental phases and their ability to “teach” skills necessary for survival in the wild. Would love to see you go a little more in depth with some of the staff’s personal lives & what led them to want a career at OJS.
Lastly, THANK YOU for such a quality show… PLEASE give us more seasons!
I have watched Orangutan Jungle School probably 15 times. I love this show!! It makes me laugh and smile every time I watch. What I would give to be able to live a life with wild animals. Please, we need more seasons. It makes a tough day bearable.
I’m so excited for this and can’t wait, just subscribed to paramount plus for this very show and starting season 2!
This is hands down one of the best shows I have ever watched. It is such a feel good show. I stayed up all night watching back to back episodes. I hope they make more, I need to see more if Beni and find out if Alba has been released to her purpose built island. I have always had a fascination with Orangutan’s and thus show has only increased that!
