Status for season 6
The series is NOT cancelled. However, it has not yet been renewed or cancelled for season 6
Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 premiered in France on April 11, 2021, with 26 episodes in store for its fan. It's going to be available for the US audience soon as well. Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 is also confirmed as announced by the show’s producer Jeremy Zag in an Instagram post. Back in 2018, Jeremy posted that he is working on season 4 and 5 and is amped up about introducing new powers, new outfits, new kwamis, and new heroes. With season 4 released in 2021, Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 is scheduled for premiere in summer 2022.
Just like its predecessors, Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 will also have 26 episodes. The show was first released in 2015 and now has become massively popular with over 22 billion views on YouTube. After an internationally successful season 3, Miraculous Ladybug was instantly renewed for two more seasons. Not only that, but all its five seasons have also been recently picked up by Disney+. Another testament to its popularity is the big-budget animated movie Miraculous World: New York, United HeroeZ that Disney Channel and Disney+ premiered on September 25, 2020. The second movie, Miraculous World: Shanghai – The Legend of Lady Dragon, is also set to debut in 2021.
The show’s producer Jeremy Zag, while speaking to Animation Magazine, commented, “Disney has been a key partner in bringing Miraculous Ladybug to audiences everywhere, and we are grateful for their creative support and trust for this next chapter. We are excited to be extending our relationship to Disney+ and to be part of their compelling new platform.” Considering the immense attention that the show is receiving and the continuous expansion of the Miraculous universe, the renewal announcement for Miraculous Ladybug Season 6 might be well on its way.
