The fans were hopeful for Mars Season 3 but on June 12, 2019, Jihae Kim who plays twins on the show announced in an Instagram post that the show was cancelled.
She thanked National Geographic for the opportunity and the viewers for pouring in their love for the show. The die-hard fans of the show were visibly sad on the news of Mars Season 3 getting cancelled but agreed how mind-expanding it was.
The second season of the show had a brilliant ending without a cliffhanger so we can take solace in that satisfactory farewell and keep a lookout for more sci-fi series that perfectly combines a good story with actual science.
Mars is a sci-fi TV show that features six men and women who travel to Mars to colonize the planet in 2033. The scientists and people behind the real-life mission show how they are to achieve this feat. During the descent on Mars, they experience a malfunction in their spacecraft but that is only the beginning of the trials and tribulations that are waiting for them.
