However, on Sep 22nd, 2020, Paramount made an official announcement that unscripted hits such as “Lip Sync Battle” will continue, but will be moved to a new place within the Viacom CBS cable portfolio. The announcement was made as Paramount also confirmed that it was moving out of unscripted TV shows with the cancellations of shows such as "Ink Master" or "Wife Swap". Chris McCarthy, president of entertainment at Viacom confirmed "“We’re doubling down on scripted but diversifying with made for TV movies, mini-series and blockbuster series with movie stars”. Scripted series on Paramount Network have been proven more successful. Lip Sync Battle is one of them. “Yellowstone” has been another significant scripted show success with a viewership of over 5 million viewers per episode.
