Status for season 2
The series is NOT renewed for a new season. It has been cancelled and there will not be a season 2
Jett Season 2 is cancelled. We’re sad and surprised. The enthralling criminal mystery premiered on Cinemax in June 2019 and became an instant success. Thanks to its smart writing and well-paced plot. However, in 2020, HBO Max’s chief content office confirmed that Cinemax will no longer be producing the original series. Despite showing a lot of promise, Jett Season 2 won’t be happening.
Carla Gugino, who plays the main protagonist, also announced in an Instagram post in January 2020 that the show was looking for a new home. Because Cinemax had stopped the development of the show. She called it an unusual and unforeseen development. And to be honest the sentiment is mutual. We’ve all been hoping for an equally gripping Jett Season 2. There was much to be explored and questions to be answered. What happened to Alice? How will Jett react to her daughter’s sudden abduction? Will there be another One Last job? Guess we’ll never know.
Jett Season 1 was also made available on HBO Max for streaming in November 2021. It created the same buzz all over again with new fans binge-watching the action thriller. Since it got so much traction, some still hope that the show may come back as a part of HBO Max’s new family. But it’s been 2 years of radio silence so let’s not hold onto false hopes. Jett Season 2 is gone for good.
About the show: After a world-class burglar, Daisy Kowalski, who is popularly known as Jett, gets released from prison, several dangerous criminals try to exploit her skills for their selfish gains.
