Severance Season 2 is Happening!!

Fans rejoice because Severance Season 2 is confirmed. Apple TV+ announced the renewal of the show ahead of the season’s finale.

Mystery, madness, thrill, and dystopia, Severance has it all. It’s strange but fascinating. It’s dark but gives you goosebumps. It may be slow at some points but the reward is huge. It’s sensational, unnerving, and utterly shocking. This is the kind of sci-fi psychological suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was so good that even the king of thrillers Stephen King tweeted about it. 

SEVERANCE is so good, the finale so shocking. Thank God Apple+ has greenlit a second season.

If the show had the same effects on you, you’ll be delighted to know that Severance Season 2 is renewed. In his official statement, the director of the show Ben Stiller revealed how happy he was with the overwhelmingly positive response from the fans. He also mentioned that Severance is a multi-season story. Music to our ears. We probably won’t have to worry about a couple more seasons now. 

Stiller, however, did not confirm when Severance Season 2 will be coming or when will the filming resume. For now, we can take comfort in the fact that it’s happening and will be on our TV screens in a year if not sooner.

Apple TV+ has officially accepted our request. Severance Season 2 will be coming to our screens soon.

The streaming service confirmed Severance Season 2 in a tweet on April 6, 2022. The news came even before the finale of the first season came out. Now that says something about the popularity and acclaim of a show and Severance lacks in neither. Filled with mystery, thrill, and shocking revelations, the show follows a dystopian storyline. A reality where people are able to disassociate their work life from their personal life by undergoing a surgical procedure. What follows is not pleasant.

The director of the show, Ben Stiller, also confirmed Severance Season 2 renewal in an official statement. He said, “It’s really exciting to see the response from people who are loving the show — and the level of fan engagement,” Stiller said in a statement Wednesday. “It has been a long road bringing ‘Severance’ to television. I first read Dan’s pilot over five years ago. It has always been a multi-season story and I’m really happy we get to continue it. I’m grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ who have been behind it the whole way. Praise Kier!”

Stiller or Apple TV+ did not confirm the date of release of Severance Season 2 but as per the tradition of most shows, we can expect it to return in a year.
