Black-ish Season 7 will start on Jan 26th 2021
ABC has just announced it will renew Black-ish for season 7, despite sliding number of viewers in the past few years (from a high of 6-8 million viewers in the first three seasons). Black-ish remains a very highly rated show at 88% TVscorecards score, placing it as one of the top rated shows of the season.
Season 7 is moving from Wednesday to Tuesdays
ABC confirmed their schedule with Black-ish scheduled for Tuesdays at 9:00PM ET (previous season was Wednesdays at 8:30pm) starting in January 2021. On Tuesday, JAN. 26, “black-ish” returns with season 7, followed by the season premiere of “mixed-ish season 2“.

9:00-9:30 p.m. “black-ish
9:30-10:00 p.m. “mixed-ish” (season premiere)
10:00-11:00 p.m. “Big Sky”
Black-ish remains a highly rated show at 88%
Audience and number of viewers is the primary metrics used by TV networks to decide on the renewal of a show. Audience numbers for Black-ish have been on the weaker side for season 6, but the show remains highly rated. As a result, ABC has decided to renewed to show for season 7.
