What are the Factors that Could Drive ABC To Renew Help A Million Little Things for Season 4?
We believe that A Million Little Things could be renewed based on the following factors:
User satisfaction scores are still strong: The latest season currently being broadcasted in 2021 (Season 3) scores one of the top TVscorecards popularity score at 85%, which is higher than the previous seasons. This is a good indicator that the viewers from this season will continue watching the show for the rest of the year and for a (potential) new season in 2021-2022. Many other TV series have seen downward trends in their viewer scores (probably due to the pandemic’s impact on production schedules) but A Million Little Things is still going strong with the new season, episode after episode.
The show has tough competition with Law & Order and viewership could pick back up in April/May 2021. A Million Little Things is competing in the Thursday Night Time Slot with Law & Order: Organized Crime which just debuted with over 7 million viewers in its season premiere on April 2nd 2021, likely taking viewership away from A Million Little Things. Based on the trend in the coming weeks, it is possible that viewership will pick back up.
Factors Putting “A Million Little Things” At Risk
We have detected signals that puts the show at risk of cancellation. The main factor is viewership, down by more than 25% versus last year’s season. Last year’s season was already sliding down from almost 5 million viewers at launch to an average of close to 4.0 million viewers for the last episodes of the season. This was a fairly significant drop but the show was still renewed based on high user scores and relatively strong ratings.
However, viewership has continued to slide down in the current reason, which doesn’t bode well for a season 4 renewal. Viewership is now down to just under 3.0 million viewers. We will be watching the trend closely as the season unfolds. Viewership is the primary driver of renewal decisions. If the last episodes of this season continue to show a decrease in viewership, we believe that A Million Little Things will get cancelled without a season 4.
However, the series is still performing well with viewer scores, and this could be a good indicator that viewership will remain steady (or increase). A Million Little Things remain one of the top-rated shows this year.

I loved the first season, I believe it should be cancelled and get the Designated Survivor to continue on ABC you will have a large following. Designated survivor is now on Netflix but I believe it was originally on ABC. This is one dynamic show, the actors are very real in each character. A Million Little things should be off the air. And there has to be over 20 commercials on it, It is not even an hour long of show. Get rid of it.

I enjoyed the first couple seasons, but I just finished the most recent episode of season 3, and I can’t take it anymore. It has gone off the rails this season deciding to focus more on every current event issue instead of actual plot lines. Now Catherine wants to divorce Eddie…again? That’s the best they can come up with? Where is the actual writing? If I want to watch current events, I will watch the news. I don’t need to watch this show to keep up with current events.

I agree. Cancell . Let the past be in the past. Stop with the race baoting once again. Yet another show that i will not watch anymore. Goodbye

The only interesting storylines are Gary and Darcy and Regina and Rome with Tyrell. I thought Maggie should have been canceled but Jamie made her interesting again. Now that he’s gone I feel like she’s a 3rd wheel. Delilah’s family is a bore, even with her gone. I can’t believe they are renewing the show and The Connors and cancel a potentially great show like Rebel, with an amazing cast, without even trying it on a different night. Airing it at the same time as the return of Elliott Stabler in an L&O spin-off set the bar pretty high. Realistically they haven’t given people time to even steam it yet.
The idiocy of network TV is why I have all but given up watching it.
